Showing at the Rialto ~ Set to music by Engelbert Humperdinck and brought to life with outstanding singers, orchestra, costumes and sets, Hansel and Gretel is an operatic jewel for the whole family to enjoy. This magical story features Hansel and Gretel who get lost in the forest picking strawberries and encounter a witch. All ends happily as the children outsmart the witch and return safely to their home. Featuring performances by children from Northern Colorado.

Heroes Among Us Banquet ~ Johnstown

The Heroes Among Us Event will be held on March 2nd at 6 p.m. at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse. Created 8 years ago by the Healthier Community Coalition of Larimer County, this annual event is now sponsored by the Loveland Mountain View Rotary. Heroes Among Us gives Thompson Valley students a chance to honor the people, the heroes, that have made a difference in their lives.

The celebratory night will consist of dinner, a key note speaker and recognition of the kids and their heroes. This year's speaker is Steve Shoppman, nominated for National Geographic's Adventurer of the year. The event is funded by sponsorships and the Loveland Mountain View Rotary.

This year over 50 students will attend with their family and their heroes.

Dale Evans, portayed by Kay Kuhlman along with musical entertainment by local musician Ron Ball will be featured in this program specifically designed to celebrate women. More famous for having been married to Roy Rogers, Dale was an accomplished performer in her own right. She was a songwriter, author, actress and matriarch to a large family.

She rode with and accompanied Roy on his tours and was in his shows. She composed the famous closing song which became their signature, "Happy Trails."
